Description of the event : This workshop-style event, with co-facilitators, is intended to map out key priorities and activities the academic and research community can pursue as part of its commitment to the New Urban Agenda and sustainable urbanization for the next 20 years. The session will begin with a brief recap of the Research & Academia Roundtable discussion and follow with an interactive exchange of views based on guiding questions framed around the knowledge platform and capacity building. It intends to identify research and content gaps and priorities, structural dimensions of a knowledge platform, scaling assessments and initiatives in capacity building, and develop a “Roadmap for Capacity Building” to implement the New Urban Agenda.
